New First Free Missionaries

First Free is excited to be sending several new missionaries this year. Today we will introduce you to three who will be serving as teachers in overseas schools. Take a look at your new missionaries!

Mandy C. and Sara W.

mandy-and-saraMandy and Sara are members of First Free moving to Northern India in August. They’ll be joining a team of people who run two “business as missions” projects. You may be familiar with the JOYN India accessories produced by one of the businesses. You can see their products here in Wichita exclusively at The Cottage Collective. Mandy and Sara will be starting the School for the Nations for missionary kids and some local kids.

Mandy has felt called to missions for many years, and this year a door opened for her to put her education expertise into practice in India. She has a master’s degree in curriculum development, so starting a school on the international mission field is a dream situation for her. Sara has felt drawn to India for several years, so she was thrilled to hear Mandy was going to India and there would be an opportunity to join her. Sara just graduated with a degree in elementary education, so like Mandy, this opportunity seems perfectly crafted for her. It’s amazing how God sets things up!

Leslie Girk

LeslieLeslie is moving to Thailand to teach 3rd grade at the Grace International School in Chiang Mai. Chris and Kellie Cole, who are also First Free missionaries, teach at the same school. Leslie has been teaching elementary school in Augusta, KS, and loves 3rd graders. She plans to be in Thailand for at least 1-2 years.

Many missionaries leave the field because of lack of education options for their children. Mandy, Sara, and Leslie will be filling important roles to help missionaries stay on the field and care well for their precious children. We are so pleased to be sending these three godly women to serve missionary kids in India and Thailand, and no doubt many local people that they will befriend as well!
