Perspectives Coming to First Free

It was 2003. I was 19, and God had given me a huge heart for the lost and the poor. I knew I was interested in missions, but didn’t know why and didn’t know what to do about it.

I heard about the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class and signed up. Over 15 weeks, with 15 different speakers, and a lot of valuable reading and Bible study, God did some amazing things in my life!

Perspectives helped my brain connect with my heart. As I learned the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of God’s plan for the nations, my compassion made sense, and I had some tangible, practical ideas of how God could use me to accomplish his plans. Those strong desires and emotions I had in my heart to serve the Lord were complemented with a solid understanding.

My story is one of thousands. The Perspectives class continues to help Christians from all walks of life to join in what God is doing. It’s not just for missionaries or missions-minded people. It’s for anyone who wants to better understand God’s plan and be a part of it!

Are you ready to take Perspectives? The class is happening at First Free from January to May of 2014 on Thursday nights. I am thrilled to be a part of the facilitating team along with some great folks from other area churches. With scholarships available, I hope you consider setting aside the time and energy to take it! For more information, email me or check out the Perspectives Wichita class website and sign up.

I hope you’ll consider it! I’ve never met anyone who regretted taking Perspectives. See you there!
