Parents of 5th graders - We know you are aware that there are many changes happening with your fifth grader! They are in the process of becoming critical thinkers. They are developing a stronger sense of likes and dislikes. And they are living in bodies that are going through (or getting ready to go through) dramatic changes. This time of life is full of changes for them as well as you.

For many years, part of our fifth grade curriculum has included a short unit entitled ‘Preparing for Adolescence’ taught by Drs. Jim and Donna Logan. The Logans are long-time teachers in the fifth grade Sunday School class. They are both family medicine doctors and they have a wonderful approach to communicating difficult topics with children…and their parents! They are eager to teach God’s good plan in the physical and emotional changes that accompany puberty. Jim meets with the boys and Donna with the girls. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your fifth grader to consider some of the physical changes that happen during adolescence.

Pizza and drinks will be provided.
