Passage: Genesis 25:11–25:34

Sermon Questions
â–ª Read Genesis 25:19-26. How is God’s sovereign grace demonstrated in this passage?
â–ª Read Genesis 25:27-34. If salvation is by God’s sovereign grace alone are we (like Esau) actually responsible for our actions?
â–ª The term “compatibilism” means that God is sovereign over all the actions of men and at the same time that humans are responsible for their actions (e.g. Gen. 25:23, 34; 50:20). How can this idea impact the way you live?
â–ª In Hebrews 12:15-17, Esau is the illustration for someone who failed to obtain the grace of God by despising his spiritual heritage. How can you make sure that you do not fail to obtain the grace of God?
