 ▪ Read James 1:18-22. James’ logic goes like this: We were saved to bear fruit. If we don’t bear fruit by doing the Word we’re deceiving ourselves to say we’re saved. How does this teaching square with the fact that we’re saved by grace alone?
 ▪ Read James 1:27. Do you agree that orphan care is an essential element to doing the Word and showing the gospel?
 ▪ How are you being challenged to care for orphans? Are you to be a part of the few who foster or adopt? Are you to be a part of the group who supports others who foster and adopt? Or are you simply called to pray and give?
