Sermon Questions
Read 1 Corinthians 4:1-5.
- Did Pastor Mike's explanation of the terms servant and steward challenge the way you view the pastor or Christian leader?
- Do you tend toward thinking too highly of pastors or thinking too lowly? What are some practical ways we can keep a balanced perspective?
- Can you say with Paul "I care very little if I am judged by you" (NIV)? He shows great sensitivity to others' feelings in other parts of the New Testament. What is Paul advocating here?
- Only God knows all the facts and motives and only God can render meaningful commendation. How does this reminder affect your evaluation of others or of yourself.
- Read 1 Corinthians 4:6-7. The church in Corinth had been infected with pride. Where do you need to be encouraged or challenged in your application of this sermon?
