Upcoming Events and Opportunities
New Service Times Beginning August 16
Beginning August 16 we will be shortening the time between services to thirty minutes and adjusting our start times. New times will be 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00 am. Services will continue to be sixty minutes.
Fall Programming Date Changes
After considering current public health recommendations, coronavirus transmission levels, and volunteer needs, we are making the following adjustments to our fall programming:
Sunday Morning Classes: The start of Sunday morning classes has been delayed to September 13 for children’s, student, and adult classes. If you’re interested in helping fill some of the gaps in our preschool and nursery volunteer teams, contact Judy Hollander.
Wednesday Evening: Student Ministry Community Groups will resume September 16. Our other programs—Wednesday Dinners, Awana, and Choir—won’t resume this fall and we will re-evaluate at the end of the year for the spring semester. Parents, watch for information about an option for working through the Awana books with your child at home.
Fall Adult Classes
You can find class descriptions and more information over on our classes page about these upcoming classes for adults:
9:30 Classes: Adults with Special Needs; Engaging Scripture; Lamentations
11:00 Classes: Exiled in America; Galatians and Ephesians; Unlikely Converts
Sunday, August 16, 6 pm, Worship Center
Make plans to join us for our August 16 Members Meeting! Anyone is welcome to attend. Pastor Phil will be sharing about his retirement and you’ll have the opportunity to hear from our newest pastoral resident, Dirk Jasperse. We’ll also give updates on what’s happening at First Free with staff, elder, and financial reports. We’ll be following the same mitigation practices as we do in Sunday morning services (no RSVP). Childcare is by registration only and is available through age 4. You can register online or call the church office by Monday, August 10.
